Our Services

Paramedic Legal Defense is not insurance, is not a labor union, and is not a social organization or club. Paramedic Legal Defense is a pre-paid legal subscription plan available exclusively to California licensed paramedics.

A summary of the services provided for the monthly subscription fee of $19.95 is provided below. A detailed explanation is contained in the subscription agreement.

Representation during California EMSA investigations and proceedings
If the California EMSA initiates an investigation of you we will advise you and consult with you throughout that investigation, and attend any investigatory interview conducted by the California EMSA to represent you during the interview.

If the California EMSA issues an “accusation” against you, which is a formal charge that could adversely affect your paramedic license, we will represent you throughout the entire administrative appeals procedure following issuance of the accusation including settlement discussions, representation during a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge from the Office of Administrative Hearings and, if necessary or appropriate, appealing an adverse administrative decision to the Superior Court of California by a legal method known as a “writ of mandamus.”

Please refer to the subscription agreement for complete details.

Advice and Consultation Regarding Civil Claims
If you are sued or threatened with a lawsuit for conduct arising directly from the course and scope of your duties as a California paramedic we will advise and consult with you including telephone conferences, document review, and written correspondence seeking a defense and/or indemnification from your employer or insurance company. If a legal defense in the lawsuit is refused by your employer and insurance company, litigation defense services are available to you as a Paramedic Legal Defense subscriber at a discounted rate as described in the subscription agreement.

Advice and Consultation Regarding Criminal Complaints
If you are arrested or charged in a criminal complaint we will advise and consult with you and your criminal defense attorney to coordinate any plea negotiations or case strategy to minimize the impact the arrest, charge, or conviction may have on your California paramedic license. Advice and consultation includes telephone conferences, document review, and written correspondence. If you do not have a criminal defense attorney, criminal defense services are available to you as a Paramedic Legal Defense subscriber at a discounted rate as described in the subscription agreement.

Discount on Other Legal Services
Subscribers receive a twenty percent (20%) discount on other legal services offered by the Rose Law Firm, P.C. and not otherwise covered by the subscription plan such as representation during civil lawsuits, criminal defense, employment-related disciplinary investigations and appeals not associated with the subscriber’s California paramedic license, etc.

This is a summary only. For complete details and limitations please read the subscription agreement.
